NATURAL GAS
Efficient, Reliable, Affordable, Comfortable
Greenwood CPW safely delivers natural gas to over 18,000 customers in Greenwood, Greenville, Abbeville, Laurens and Anderson Counties through a distribution network of 770 miles of natural gas pipeline.
Natural gas is a naturally occurring hydrocarbon consisting primarily of methane. This abundant, clean, domestically produced natural resource is a more cost effective way to fuel your appliances. Natural gas offers lower heating and maintenance costs, faster reheat and reduced electrical demand.
With the exception of gas furnaces and clothes dryers, natural gas appliances (hot water heaters, gas logs, gas ranges) keep working even when the electricity is off. With natural gas, furnace heat comes on immediately, water is reheated faster, cooking heat is more consistent and responsive. For space heating, hot water, and cooking, you’re always comfortable with natural gas.
