Annual True Up/Down See Gas Tariffs
Btu British Thermal Unit (Btu), which is the amount of energy required to raise one pound of water by 1° F. A Btu is a unit of energy content.
Btu Factor The amount of energy in a cubic foot of natural gas. The Btu factor is used to convert units of volume (such as CCF or MCF) to units of energy (such as Therms or MMBtu’s)
Billing Period The period of time between the Previous Meter Reading and the Current Meter Reading
CCF One hundred cubic feet of natural gas or water. A CCF is a unit of volume.
CGT Carolina Gas Transmission, which is an interstate pipeline connected with Greenwood CPW
Consumption Usage during the current month. Calculated by subtracting the previous meter reading from the current meter reading, multiplied by the multiplier (if applicable)
Current Charge Total charges for utilities incurred for the current month
Current Meter Reading The current month’s meter reading, also the end of this month’s billing period
Dth Dekatherm, which is equal to 10 therms. A Dth is a unit of energy content.
MCF One thousand cubic feet of natural gas. An MCF is a unit of volume.
MMBtu 1,000,000 Btu’s; one MMBtu is equal to one Dekatherm (and 10 therms). An MMBtu is a unit of energy content.

Previous Balance An amount that carries over to the next month, with a credit if customer paid more than required, or a debit (money owed) if customer paid less than required.
Previous Meter Reading Last month’s meter reading, also the beginning of this month’s billing period
Transco Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line, which is the primary interstate pipeline serving CPW Greenwood
Therm 100,000 Btu’s; 10 therms equal one MMBtu or Dekatherm. A Therm is a unit of energy content.
